Joe Carnahan wrote and directed the feature that is based on the true story of a man who survives a boat accident that left him stranded 70 miles out in the Gulf of Mexico.

Zachary Levi is fighting the elements in the first look at real-life survivor thriller Not Without Hope.

In the Joe Carnahan-directed feature, the Shazam! star plays Nick Schuyler, who with his friends Will Bleakley, and NFL players Marquis Cooper and Corey Smith, are stranded at seas after their fishing boat capsizes 70 miles out in the Gulf of Mexico. A severe storm heads their way throws the four friends violently into the freezing water. With the U.S. Coast Guard’s air and sea rescue mission thwarted by the ferocity of the massive storm, the group must fight to survive in the ultimate test of teamwork and endurance.

The movie, based on the New York Times best-seller from Schuyler and Jeré Longman, also stars Josh Duhamel, Quentin Plair, and Marshall Cook. Production wrapped in June in Malta, prior to the SAG strike.

Highland Film Group is handling international rights to the film, which is being sold out of the Toronto Film Festival.
