Highland Film Group Reveals First Look of Josh Duhamel Action-Comedy ‘London Calling’

July 27, 2024

Highland Film Group shared a first look at London Calling, an action-comedy that reunites director Allan Ungar with star Josh Duhamel after the success of the action heist thriller Bandit.

Film also stars Jeremy Ray Taylor (It, and It: Chapter Two), Rick Hoffman (Billions, Suits) and Aidan Gillen (Game of Thrones)

Written by Omer Levin Menekse and Quinn Wolfe, London Calling sees mediocre hit man Tommy Ward (Duhamel) go on the run and get stuck in L.A. after mistakenly killing a relative of London’s biggest crime boss (Gillen). To get back to his son on the other side of the pond, Tommy makes a deal with his new employer (Hoffman): teach his socially awkward teenage son Julian (Taylor) to be a man, in exchange for safe passage. Tommy is now forced to drag Julian, afraid of his own shadow, along on his latest contract killing of a renowned assassin. What starts off as a simple ride-along descends into utter chaos as this down-on-his-luck contract killer and his insecure protégé become each other’s lifelines.

London calling was produced by Allan Ungar (Sympathy for the Devil starring Nicolas Cage, Bandit), Delon Bakker and Kyle Ambrose (Lionsgate’s Rogue), Ryan Winterstern and Nathan Klingher (the Land of Bad starring Russell Crowe and Liam Hemsworth, and Blood for Dust starring Kit Harington), Mark Fasano (the upcoming Sleeping Dogs starring Crowe and American Ultra starring Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart), Apur Parikh (the upcoming The Surfer) and Julia Sandberg Hansson.

Highland Film Group is handling international sales at EFM.
